Chinese and a Movie Day, the best day of the year
You can't get any errands done though all the roads are clear
The only programs on the tube are specials all day long
And music on the radio is all one kind of song
For those of us who don't expect that round man with the beard
The day is neither good nor bad, it's just a little weird
Thank God for two establishments where life goes on the same
or else Chinese and a Movie Day would sure as heck be lame.

All the families op'ning presents never come to know
the magic at the magic wok and in the movie show
Aside from the United Nations, there's no better way to make Muslims, Buddhists, Jews and Hindus hang out for a day
in peace and love and moo shoo and perhaps a matinee
Oh Chinese and a Movie is my favorite holiday
